Woodmere is a historic and affluent hamlet in the Five Towns region, originally settled as Browne’s Point in the 17th century and later known as Woodsburgh. Renamed Woodmere in 1875, it features stately pre-war mansions, country clubs, and proximity to scenic tidal salt marshes.
