Albertson is an upscale residential hamlet in the Town of North Hempstead, settled in the 17th century by Quaker settler Townsend Albertson. Known for quiet residential neighborhoods and excellent schools, it is famous for the Clark Botanic Garden, a 12-acre public botanical sanctuary founded in 1969.
