Dix Hills was settled in 1699 and named after local native leader Dick Peche. A premier residential enclave characterized by rolling wooded hills and estate homes, Dix Hills was the longtime home of jazz legend John Coltrane, where he composed his masterpiece ‘A Love Supreme’ at his historic home on Candlewood Path.
