Jamesport was founded in 1833 by James Tuthill as a deepwater whaling port and maritime terminal on Peconic Bay. Today, Jamesport preserves classic 19th-century meetinghouses, boutique bed-and-breakfasts, renowned North Fork vineyards, and quiet bayfront beaches.
