East Marion was settled in the late 17th century and named in honor of Revolutionary War hero General Francis Marion. Situated on a narrow North Fork peninsula, East Marion is famous for fragrant lavender fields, sweeping views of Orient Harbor, and scenic rocky beaches on the Long Island Sound.
