Incorporated in 1838, Greenport is a historic seaport village at the eastern tip of the North Fork. Once a bustling 19th-century whaling and oyster harvesting center, Greenport preserves its salt-air identity with working docks, an 1890s antique carousel at Mitchell Park, the East End Seaport Museum, and oyster bars.
