Cutchogue, named from an Algonquin word meaning ‘principal place,’ is celebrated as the sunniest town in New York State. Settled in 1661, Cutchogue is home to the historic 1649 Old House (a National Historic Landmark and one of the oldest English structures in New York), as well as pioneering vineyards.
