Incorporated in 1908, Floral Park was founded by pioneering seed merchant and florist John Lewis Childs in the 1870s. Childs shipped millions of flower catalogs worldwide from his extensive seed farms here. The village honors this heritage with floral street names, immaculate parks, and classic suburban architecture.
