Incorporated as a village in 1901, Lynbrook’s name is an anagram of ‘Brooklyn,’ chosen by residents to pay homage to the ancestral roots of the many city commuters who moved here. Lynbrook features a bustling downtown commercial center along Atlantic Avenue, charming parks, and rapid commuter rail connections into New York City.
