Incorporated in 1894, Northport is an enchanting waterfront village situated on Northport Harbor. Known in the 19th century as Great Cow Harbor, Northport was a premier shipbuilding and shellfishing port. Today, it preserves vintage trolley tracks on Main Street, harborside parks, and the John W. Engeman Theater.
